I have been working in the field of community mental health for the past 9 years, completing my formal education in Criminology (BA, MA) and Social Work (MSW). I have also completed extensive mindfulness training over the past 5 years (qualified in MBSR & MB-EAT, teacher-in-training in MSC).
The therapeutic modalities I draw upon in my treatment approach include: third-wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (namely: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy & Compassion Focused Therapy), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness interventions.
I offer therapy sessions to individuals 20 years of age and older. I have a special proficiency in the treatment of chronic stress, anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism, depression, burnout and caregiver fatigue among frontline workers.
I work collaboratively with individuals to explore presenting concerns, unpack the causes and conditions reinforcing them, and work through personal and interpersonal blocks that impede on their healing and personal growth. We draw on deeper long term values as a guidepost as we move through therapeutic process.
